Glass enclosures (balconies) that extend 4.3 feet beyond the side of the building.

Located 1,353 feet in the air (103 stories)

The Balconies can hold five tons. (Well over the 2 ton requirement for city code)

The glass is an inch and a half thick. (3 layers each 1/2" thick)

Glass is retractable to help out the window washers.

Sears Tower Officials have said the inspiration for the balconies came from the
hundreds of forehead prints vistiors left behind on the Skydeck windows every week.

Inspired by similiar ones located at the Grand Canyon and the CN Tower.
